The Funeral

Friday October 21st, the fog laid low in the cool breezy air as the preparation for a ceremony and burial of one of the most humble and inspirational men to live. The ceremony took place at noon and with one of "Stevey's" last request Jodi was the first to speak. Jodi started by comforting the family and friends with fun stories of him and Mr. Katz trying to become under qualified life guards, then proceeded with emotional words as the reality once again hit. Next was Larry to speak. Stephen's request to "let them know what kind of person I am" was fulfilled. The history of Mr. Katz revealed his character and ambition to be a writer. With limited knowledge of his past, the history of Katz further inspired myself along with many other students to work hard for what we want and succeed. The ceremony was wrapped up with more Hebrew words and weeping.
